From our house, you can are one block away to the iconic cinema "d'arts et d'essai" "Le Louxor", after your film you can watch the sunset on the outstanding rooftop. If you want to see a movie I would also recomand the two cinemas on the Canal St-Martin in Jaurès metro station (3 stations away), you can then have a nice dinner along the canal. There are thousands of nice bars and good restaurants rue de Clignancourt (also one block away). On weekends, you can go to the flee market "Les puces" at "Porte de Clignancourt". I love it. You can easily spend the day there, stroll in the middle of antique stores, have delicious oysters or typical french cuisine listening to Jazz manouche (Django Reinhardt used to spend his weekends there too !!). The must-do activity is a walk in the Montmartre area, when you get to the top of the hill to this unreal white cathedral, you will be able to see the most amazing view of Paris. In that same area, you have hundreds of cute shops to by nice clothes or jewelery. In that area I would strongly recomand to eat at the "Petit Bleu" : the most amazing "couscous" I have ever eaten. If you are a theatre fan, you literally have eight theaters surrounding you (Théâtre de l'Atelier, Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord, Le Trianon, Théâtre des Abbesses, ...). If you like music, you should definitely go to concerts in Pigalle (La Cigale, le Divan du Monde). If you like second-hand shops as much as I do, I strongly recomand you the Troc en stock boutique rue Clauzel : they sell amazing french couture creations for cheap (Chanel, Lanvin, Yves-Saint-Laurent, Claudie Pierlot, and more...). When you are in Pigalle area (10-15 minutes away) you absolutely have to go to Bouillon Pigalle, it is THE place to taste the "terroir" french cuisine and ... it is cheap !
