Most of all we love, that we are very close to nature, especially to lots of forrest. Many people use it for hiking and walking. We prefer biking. Within walking distance (for hikers - in a distance of about 5 km or so) you will find the "Jägersburger Weiher" - a preferred local recreation area with it´s own restaurants, lake with pedal boats and park.
Bexbach has an old coal-mine, where today is a small museum. The village has a marketplace with a small market once a week, cafés including an ice cream parlor and other restaurants as well as a boulder-hall. Nearby Homburg offers as well cultural as touristic opportunities. The town of Zweibrücken owns a huge outlet. And if you take a look on the whole Saarland (Germanies smallest federal state) you will find a lot of "places of interest", including the river Saar with it´s beautiful cycling path, several historic townships and the french border with the town of Metz in driving distance (80 km or so).
We are living here since 2021, still have a lot to discover and love it!
