Melbourne Wonder
We loved Rosemary's comfortable Edwardian villa in Northcote. A large kitchen /sitting room gave onto a delightful garden where we breakfasted every morning. Westgarth village was literally two minutes distance by foot with cool and friendly cafes/restaurants, a cinema, and a magnificently stocked organic store. Rosemary gave us the use of two fine new sturdy bicycles and within hours of arriving we had discovered the Yarra Bend Park with safe cyclepaths where Bell Birds sang beautifully from the top of the gumtrees. Two nearby metro stations took us to the centre of Melbourne in 15 minutes with its Galleries, Open Markets, Libraries and, of course, Melbourne Park where we were absorbed by the Tennis on SuperSaturday. We easily made trips in Rosemary's car to the hills and to the coast, encountering Kangaroo, Wallabies, Wombats and Emu in the wild at Wilson's Prom. Rosemary's home was a wonderful base for exploring Victoria and we wholeheartedly reccommend it. When we arrive back to our home in Dublin it was as if we have never been away. Thank you for looking after our home so well.
