Our house is located in the beachside village of Lennox Head, on the NSW north coast. We are located within a flat, easy walking distance to all the village attractions including a patrolled surf beach (Seven-mile Beach, 800m), freshwater lake (Lake Ainsworth, 800m) and the Lennox Head town centre (1.2km). The natural beauty of the town allows for endless activities all within walking distance, including coastal headland and beach walks, swimming, surfing, fishing, snorkelling, bike riding, kayaking and bird watching. The beach front and town centre offers a range of cafes and restaurants, a supermarket, shops and several beauty and wellness services.
Regional highlights for great outings include:
- Byron Bay (20km north), a vibrant international holiday destination.
- National parks, including the World Heritage listed Gondwana Rainforest of Australia.
- Quirky hinterland towns of Lismore and Nimbin.
Ballina (12km south) is a regional centre on the Richmond River which provides a broader range of shops and services. It expanse on the activities offered at Lennox Head with scenic bike paths, more surf beaches and boating opportunities. Regular buses provide access to Ballina and Byron Bay.
