Sandgate is a lovely quiet suburb. Our home is walking distance to train, village and bay. Brisbane city is 40 minutes by train. Brisbane is a beautiful modern city with wonderful weather all year. A ferry ride on the river is a must do. Brisbane airport is a short 15 minute drive.
The Gold Coast with theme parks, beaches, casino is just over one hour drive south. Drive north for one hour and arrive at the Sunshine Coast with miles of beautiful beaches, dining and tourist attractions.
Locally we have the Morton bay foreshore with endless walk and cycling tracks. There are numerous parks with free BBQ facilities and covered picnic areas. Visit the trawlers at Shorncliffe and pick up fresh seafood. Whale watching is a fabulous day out on Moreton bay in the cooler months.
