We would like exchanges outwith school holidays if possible.

As we are active and like hiking, cycling, diving, swimming, golf etc. we prefer areas like the ocean, mountains, lakes and countryside and would prefer to be close to areas that could offer this such as the Alps, Pyrenees, Provence, Dolomites,North coast of Spain, West coast of Portugal or the island of Madeira. We would consider exchanges to other parts of the world also and would consider Weekend exchanges in the UK or within easy flying /ferry distance.
We would like to exchange like for like properties and possibly a car exchange also. We also prefer non-smokers and no children or pets.

Our home is a comfortable spacious, south facing two floored detached house in a quiet residential no-through road of nine houses.
There are 2 sitting rooms, 2 main bedrooms (1 king, 1 double), study, dining room, kitchen/family room, 2 bathrooms. Gardens to side, front, rear.

Although not directly in the city centre there are excellent public transport services 2 minutes walk from our home including the Airport 100 bus service. Journey time into the city centre takes 10 minutes by bus/car and it is 15 minutes by bus/car to the airport. (If you are fit and active types you can easily walk to Haymarket within 25 minutes or less).

Edinburgh is a beautiful Capital city, home of the Scottish Parliament, July Jazz & Blues Festival, August International Festival/ Fringe Festival /Book Festival / Art Festival. December & January Edinburgh's Christmas & Hogmanay. Castle, Holyrood Palace, Royal Yacht Britannia, Royal Botanic Gardens, museums, art galleries, theatres. 2 minutes from the Zoo.
It takes around 30 mins to travel to the East coast beaches.

The Scottish mountains: Glencoe 2.5 hours, Ben Nevis, Britain's highest peak 3 hours and Royal Deeside with Lochnagar overlooking Balmoral 90 mins.
