The house is located in an established suburb of heritage houses and lovely gardens, in Hobart; Tasmania's capital city.
Centrally located, it is a few minutes' drive from restaurants in the city, North Hobart, Salamanca Place or Sandy Bay.
There are also neighbourhood restaurants, and a café.
An excellent corner shop/post office is 50 metres from the front door and provides for all your daily needs. A bus stop with frequent service is also located a few metres away
A gourmet grocer for fresh fruit and veg, an award-winning butcher and a pharmacy are just two blocks away, and a very popular secure children's playground is just a block away.

In the city, the Salamanca Market on Saturdays and the Farm Gate market on Sundays are popular. There are many good coffee shops and cafes nearby and in the city and North Hobart.
From Hobart you can make day trips to historic Richmond, the Tasman Peninsula, Port Arthur, the Huon Valley, Bruny Island, New Norfolk and Mt Field in the Derwent Valley and also the historic towns of Ross and Oatlands in the Southern Midlands.
