• A great experience, we are delighted!

  This was our 1st home exchange and thanks to Femke and Erik, we quickly felt confident. Their house in Amsterdam is very nice and very well located to take the Tram and discover the center of Amsterdam easily. It is a really amazing city between museums, boat tour, gay pride, incredible monuments, etc. We also visited the surroundings of Amsterdam between Leiden, Gouda, Haarlem, Edam, Marken, De Haas Castle... It was beautiful, despite a very shy sun. Our children of 8, 13 and 17 years old were all very happy with this holiday, while having the impression of being a bit like home! A big thank you to Femke and Erik for their availability and trust, and for taking care of our house and our cat in our absence. We exchanged regularly during the stay, which simplified things a lot and made the exchanges very friendly.

• A quiet place in a stunning city

  Spending two weeks in Amsterdam was an awesome experience for us. This city is such an attractive and vivid place. During this time we were very happy to have Femke und Erik's house as a starting point and place of retreat. Their home is a cosy and spacious house in a quiet neighbourhood with excellent public transport connections to the center and the sea. We were warmly welcomed with a delicious meal and felt immediately at home. There were a lot of possibilities to spend some time in the house, such as games, puzzles, a little playground, a lovely garden and of course two charismatic cats. We enjoyed several trips to the city center, to Bloemendaal aan Zee and the marvellous national park of Kennemerland. And we loved to bike from Broek to Marken and - our highlight - to canoeing in the Amsterdam Bos. The communication with our exchange partners was always warm and enriching. Thank you very much, dear Femke, Erik and kids, it was a pleasure to exchange with you!

• Great exchange with great family

  We had the pleasure of staying at Femkes house for one week. It was absolutely awesome and we found a very warm welcome with dutch specialties and a very delicious oven dish. The house was as described and we felt very welcome. Communication was just perfect and Femke and her family took good care of our cat. There is really so much to discover and Amsterdam is an amazing City. The besch is only 30 minutes away and we enjoyed that very much. Our house was just perfect when we returned. Thank you guys for doing this exchange with us. We loved it!

  We had such a nice exchange with Femke and Erik’s family! Their house in well located, we could do everything by foot or by bike (groceries, lake and playground, museums). Amsterdam is a beautiful city, we enjoyed the old town with its boats, old houses, museum, nice restaurants and huge parks. We also visited the beautiful towns of Haarlem, Sloten and Zaanse Schans and its mills. The house was perfectly equipped, and we also had great times playing numerous board games and reading books and comics. Our daughters also enjoyed the toys! We are really glad we made this exchange, and that we could meet our guests before :)

  We really enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam, wonderfull town, many things to discover with our children : Museums, parcs, cycling, beer and cheese... Thank you to Femke, Eric and their children, it was a pleasure to have this exchange with them and their house were very confortable. A great exchange !

  We had a wonderful stay in Femke's and Erik's family home in Amsterdam. The house is lovely, with all the space and things we could have wished for to make our stay pleasant. We especially enjoyed the beautiful lounge and kitchen, the sunny coutryard - complete with a swing! - and the good selection of English books. It was fabulous to have bikes available for the whole family and we made extensive use of them, exploring the many great parks and playgrounds in the neighbourhood and cycling into the city centre. The house is located extremely conveniently, in a very quiet and pleasantly gree area, but with good shops and restaurants nearby and the city centre in easy distance. Pippi the cat was a pleasure to look after. Thank you Femke & Eric!
