Versailles perfect for exploring Paris.
Eric's and Isabelle's spacious flat is a perfect starting point for exploring Versailles and Paris. Versailles is a "small" town in its own right, where particularly the market was an interesting experience. It is quite easy to go to the center of Paris by train, and from the flat to the station there are frequent busses, although the walking distance is short. Eric and Isabelle have been generous with information and helped us feel at home at once.
Very nice stay in Versailles
We loved our stay in the tasteful decorated and comfortable apartment of Eric and Isabelle. As we were there by car, we explored the small villages and musea in the surroundings. The apartment is very well located to visit Versailles, we walked everywhere. Versailles has everything you need for an interesting cultural holiday!
A lovely French experience
Well placed for access to the centre of Versailles by walking. A very roomy flat with lovely views of the city.
Isabelle and Eric's flat in Versailles was fantastic. Centrally located, easy access to central Paris by train, roomy and well equipped. We had a fabulous exchange. Although we went into Paris on three occasions, we spent most of our time exploring Versailles which is a treat on its own. Wonderful walks in the park surrounding Versailles Palace, lovely restaurants, and a market almost every day. Our exchange was everything we hoped for. Thank you Isabelle and Eric.
A perfect stay in Versailles
We felt great & comfortable in the spacious flat of Isabelle & Eric - with a nice view over Versailles. Their home was perfect located for us to discover Versailles as well as Paris with easy Metro-connection. We met Isabelle and Eric in Berlin, and got to know them as wonderful cosmopolitan and loving hosts. Thank you both.
We had a nice house exchange with many good experiences. Eric and Isabelle had prepared a cozy welcome and we enjoyed returning home to their fine accommodation after today's excursions to Paris and in Versailles.
Our visit to Versailles was fantastic.
The apartment is ideally located for all amenities and transport. We spent our whole week in Versailles itself with three of the days touring the palace and its gardens. A very successful exchange.
A bright and warm flat in a quiet but lively area
Isabelle and Eric's 9th floor flat is in a very nice block in an area with lots of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. It is close to bus and tram stops, giving convenient access to the sights of Paris - faster by metro but more fun by bus. They gave clear instructions on getting in from Orly airport and kindly gave us some bus tickets which made our first journey very easy. Their flat was clean and comfortable with two balconies and a fantastic view of the Eiffel Tower. There's a very good shop selling home-made food to take away just along the street from the flat, and a good local restaurant (Les 2 Statiions) about a 5 minute walk away. The Musee Marmottan is nearby as is the Bois de Boulogne. We Had a chance to meet Isabelle and Eric in Edinburgh before we went to Paris and they are delightful and very friendly. All in all an excellent exchange. Merci
