  • Perfect exchange !

Perfect organisation for a perfect exchange, nice house & very good communication ! Joan’s family is very friendly and Rosie, her dog is so fabulous ! Enjoy this place! Thank you for all

  • Estuvimos muy cómodos

Many thanks to Joan, Sean, Eva and Conor for staying in their beautiful country house, surrounded by nature with the company of Rosy and the chickens. My son loved taking care of the animals and feeding them. The house is comfortable. It was the first time we traveled to Ireland and we fell in love We visited Aran Islands, Galway, Limerick, Connemara, Kerry, Burren and Dublin. We will return because we have many things to visit. We like to drive but with the steering wheel upside down and the narrow roads had to be alert at all times. Go carefully

  • Thank you Joan and Sean! Everything was wonderful and perfect, your very warm welcome, the beautilful house, the amazing garden with Rosie and hens, and the country so amazing and interesting! For us it was an ideal first swap, kids loved it too. All the best, from Claire, Olivier, Noé, Ethel and Solal

  • Lovely exchange

If you are thinking of going to Ireland, don't hesitate and swap with Joan and family. They have done their best for us to feel at home. The house is beautiful, comfortable and full equiped. Our kids have enjoyed a lot in the garden with Rosie, feeding the hens, and playing with Eve and Conor toys. It's very well situated to visit the amazing Burren, the Clare County, and a lot of different places. It has been a wonderful experience.

  • The Burren was an amazing area to explore. Some super places of interest to visit, and excellent eating places. Just down the road you had your own small beach. Joan's house was well equipped and the back garden area spacious with wonderful views and sunsets. We had great weather during our stay, but take your wellies for the morning and evening dog and hen feeding and care routine. Yummy fresh eggs will be your reward. Joan was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

  • Perfect house in a perfect situation

  • Beautiful home in a gorgeous part of Ireland.

Very enjoyable swap with so much to do in the area- we only swapped for 5 days this time and really need to repeat this as didn't get to do half the things that were on offer- Aran Islands next time! Very comfortable stay and great communication with Joan and family- hopefully get to meet up next time!

  • Beautiful home in the breathtaking Burren!

We loved this house and location so much we came back for a second visit! Joan made us feel so welcome and we really appreciated the home cooked meal and home made apple tart waiting for us when we arrived together with the gorgeous, roaring fire in the stove! Joan and Sean's home is so welcoming and comfortable its hard to leave. The children particularly love looking after Rosie, the friendly, playful collie and also feeding the chickens and looking for eggs! We would heartily recommend this house. It overlooks some of the most breathtaking scenery in Ireland and you can walk for miles along the mid-Clare way right beside the house and really get away from it all. We love the feeling of being in the middle of such a wild and untouched landscape. We'll be back again if Joan and Sean let us as our children would never tire of such a special holiday. All the best and thanks again! Sarah, Nigel, Oisin and Katie xx

  • We had a wonderful time in Joan's an Sean's house and we felt like at home. It was a pleasure for us to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, the house is full of character, there is plenty of space to run in the garden. Our daughter Olivia enjoyed to throw the ball to Rosie the lovely dog, taking care of the hens, the roosters and the chicks. We had a great time visiting around, especially the coast, the cliffs of Moher, the Burren National Park, the Burren perfumery, Ennis, Galway and all the villages around.

  • We loved this charming cottage in the heart of the

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend at this lovely, tastefully decorated and well equipped cottage. Our hosts were very hospitable and left us a meal plus wine, home made jam and local cheese for us to enjoy upon arrival, which was very much appreciated. It was a very relaxing place. We walked for a number of hours on the Burren - magnificent scenery - visited the Burren Perfumery , a great pub/restaurant called Cassidys and local towns and villages. Thanks so much to Joan and Sean for an enjoyable exchange.

  • Gorgeous house in a fabulous location

We are just back from our Easter exchange with Joan, Sean & family. We had such a lovely time and would highly recommend an exchange with them. The house is such a lovely cosy country cottage and the location is just fantastic. We visited loads of places like Loop Head, Ennistimon (stopped at Oh La La for crepes and hot chocolate a few times), Doolin Cave, Ballyvaughan, Coole Park, Lehinch, Kilkee, the Bridges of Ross (Kilbaha), the list goes on !!! Joan & Sean's garden is a paradise for children - they even have a little climbing wall! Rosie the dog is VERY playful and our boys miss her very much :-( So overall, we would highly recommend an exchange with Joan & Sean - we promise, you won't be disappointed. Helen, David, Ben, Cian & Sean (Wicklow, Ireland)

  • We had a great time in Sean’s and Joan’s Irish cottage very close to the Burren National Park. It was so close that you could literally cross the street and be right within the park! There you could walk for hours without meeting a single person, great! The place was great for exploring County Clare and County Galway, for example the Cliffs of Moher, Galway, Limerick, the Wild Atlantic Way. We were joyfully greeted by Rosie, their adorable and lovely dog. The house is comfortable and clean and we especially loved the country-style kitchen with the stove fired by wood pellets. Even on rainy mornings it was so nice to sit there and have an extended breakfast. The neighbours were very welcoming, too. We were even given home-made bread and scones. The communication with Joan was easy and enjoyable. We even met one of her sisters in Galway and had lunch together - which, from our perspective, is the best in home exchanging! We highly recommend an Exchange with Joan & Sean: we truly loved it

  • We had a very relaxing weekend in the stunning Bur

We arrived in Rockforest to a beautiful house with a fantastic back garden for the children to play in, which included a climbing wall, swings, play house, hens and a fabulous dog called Rosie who loved to play fetch with the children. There was lots of lovely treats and food for us on arrival but the Galway made cookies (one seagrass and one lavender) were amazing. The house was cosy, clean, unbelievably comfortable beds and lovely linen. We had a lovely few days visiting Ennis,Gort, Lough Bunny, The Burren Perfumery and a fabulous day in Drumore Nature Reserve. There was lots more to do but the bank holiday weekend just wasn't long enough.il Thanks so much to Joan and Sean and their two children for a very memorable break.

  • What a wonderful special home!!

We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful cottage in the West of Ireland. Our hosts could not have been more helpful and friendly and we enjoyed their tips and advice on exploring the local area. Their house was beautifully decorated and in a very special landscape, the Burren. The house was comfortable and we really enjoyed staying there. Our children fell in love with Rosie the dog, and a highlight of the trip was feeding the chickens and eating their delicious eggs! We would really recommend staying in this lovely home and we would love to go back again soon! Sarah and Nigel

  • Whitethorn Cottage - Tranquility in the heart of C

What a lovely home in a beautiful location. We immediately felt at home with the smell of dinner cooking in the slow cooker. Rosie the dog met us at the gate wagging her tail - my boys enjoyed throwing her ball. The chickens were amazing to watch and we enjoyed eating the lovely eggs. The Burren is quite a spectacular area where the colour of the landscape changes with the sun. We did a couple of local walks which were wonderful - a photographer's delight. We were only 30 mins from the coast and would recommend a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher; cliff top walks, visitors centre and easy parking make this a great day out. Doolin pier was also stunning. We also went up to Galway taking the coast road to Connemara; again your breath will be taken away with the spectacular coastline. Galway city has lots of pubs offering traditional Irish music. Coming home to put your feet up in front of the log fire was a great way to relax in the evening. Just wonderful, thank you Joan & Sean

  • Fabulous first home exchange in Co Clare

Thanks Joan and Sean for an amazing first home exchange. We had a fabulous time at their home. There was a lovely hot dinner waiting for us upon arrival which had been cooking in the slow cooker. Our boys had the best holiday ever playing with new toys and spending most of their time outdoors playing in their huge garden and throwing ball with their lovely dog Rosie. The house is so comfortable and we especially enjoyed lighting the log fire at night and reading books on the sofa. The views of the Burren from the house are stunning. There are so many things to do in the area, 5 days was not enough to explore it all but we were so content in the house that some days we did not leave. It was great having fresh eggs for breakfast each morning and our boys had great fun with the hens. Would definitely recommend this house for a home exchange. Thanks again
