Wonderful apartment
We were warmly welcomed by Dianne and Geoffrey, and shared a lovely lunch together prepared by Diane, eaten in the fabulous winter garden area of their beautiful apartment, and getting to know each other a little. What a wonderful to start to our week’s exchange. The apartment is so clean and bright, but also very comfortable. The folders left with local information for visitors and for the home were comprehensive and very useful. We’ve had really good communication throughout and valued the tips about the locality. We found this an excellent base for exploring the west side of London around Kew, Chiswick, Richmond and Hampton Court Palace, as well as easily getting into central London. Travel was easy – we used either the 65 bus or walked (10-15 mins) to S Ealing tube, which was then the Piccadilly line into the centre and a choice of easy changes. There are some good local greengrocer shops on the Ealing road which are useful to stock up in passing when going back to the apartment. Also the local Co-op and Sainsbury’s were just the job for essentials. We had 2 lovely evening meals at the Lord Nelson; a traditional pub very close to the apartment. They were able to take mid-week drop in’s, which was ideal after a hectic day sightseeing. We also discovered The Bell and Crown at Chiswick as part of a nice riverside walk but booking is essential. We admired the view sitting on the Winter Garden veranda in the evening with a glass of wine, just relaxing and watching the world go by, the planes cruising almost noiselessly by, and watching the moon come up. It was a full ‘strawberry June moon’ whilst we were there. Stunning. Thank you both so much for this wonderful exchange and we look forward to hopefully meeting again next year when you are able to arrange a visit to us near York.

A most wonderful and comfortable apartment
We spent a fantastic week in Diane and Geoffrey's gorgeous apartment. It was spotlessly clean with very clear instructions provided prior to and during our stay. The location is excellent for exploring London and around - with basement car parking, easy access to plentiful TfL public transport and also within easy walking distance of local attractions and shops. Nowhere in and around London is out of reach from this apartment. The apartment itself is spacious with a fabulous winter garden with views over central London in the distance and with lots of views of interest closer to home. We wiled away many hours just watching the world go by - very relaxing and interesting. Communication with our hosts was super helpful and they have clearly put much thought and effort into ensuring that their exchange partners have a great stay. Thank you so much Diane and Geoffrey for a superlative experience, a week we will always remember.
What a great place to stay in London
The apartment was very modern, clean and comfortable with everything you need for a home from home and fab views to the city and of the surrounding area. Diane and Geoffrey kept in close communication when needed and were very welcoming. This is a great situation for visiting the city and has very good, easily accessible public transport links. We did however also appreciate the proximity to Kew village and the world famous gardens, Chiswick and Barnes, all interesting and attractive London “villages” as well as walks along the Thames footpath. A very successful stay in every way. Thank you Diane and Geoffrey.
We loved the ever changing London vista....
We felt very lucky to be trusted with this amazing apartment on the 19th floor. Diane and Geoffrey are superb hosts and gave us plenty of information about the area and how the apartment worked. It's in a super location for buses, trains and planes from Heathrow. We loved dining in the winter garden area and watching the plans going to Heathrow (could see but not hear them). The views of London by day or night were simply stunning. We loved having the use of their bikes and took them to Battersea Park in one direction and Hampton Court Palace in the other. Walking distance to Kew Gardens, a visit there is a must as too is 'The Black Dog Beer House', the local pub on Albany Road, Brentford. Thank you once again Diane and Geoffrey. Fabulous apartment in great location.
We were fortunate to meet Diane and Geoffrey when they came to us on a non simultaneous exchange and they are a delightful couple. They kept in touch with regular updates and answered any questions quickly. Their London apartment has everything one could possibly wish for. A modern well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a fascinating view out over the city from the nineteenth floor. There is a private underground parking bay which enabled us to take the car without worry of parking which would normally be a problem in the capital and their place sits just outside the charge zone. We were able to visit Windsor which was a wonderful experience. The apartment is very well designed and has a spectacular ‘winter garden’. This is a wrap around south facing inside balcony with floor to ceiling windows giving tremendous views from east to west. There are full ventilation panels and a Juliet door which when opened are not for the faint hearted! All rooms are climate controlled giving high levels of comfort. Kew Gardens are just a short bus ride away as is the nearest tube station giving easy access to the city. Thank you Geoffrey and Diane for a memorable exchange.
We had a wonderful exchange, experienced in a lovely home in West London that was really, really special. The location was fabulous and we had everything in place that we could possibly need. Our hosts are terrific people, very friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay enormously. Simply the Best!
What a wonderful experience we had at Diane and Geoffrey's lovely flat. It is perfect in every way. Everything you need including fantastic transportation to the heart of London, and OH THAT VIEW! Diane and Geoffrey provided excellent communication. Their home guide was an asset during our stay. They have quite a few books about London and the surrounding areas that made for interesting reading when we weren't enjoying the city, the countryside, their neighborhood, or the view. We visited in late March/early April which meant chilly mornings. To get to the tube station we made the 2 minute walk across the street, hopped on the bus and rode three of four stops. When we returned, though, it became our habit to walk from the station. We enjoyed stopping in the eclectic range of small market shops picking up fresh items for the evening meal or the next day's breakfast. Our time at the Kew Eye flew by, and it was with a bit of wistfulness that we closed the door for the final time. Thank you, Diane and Geoffrey. We thoroughly enjoyed our exchange!
Such a charming and exquisite apartment that we had the pleasure to experience. Our exchange partners made us feel relaxed and comfortable. Access to the building was easy and uncomplicated, as was the information provided to ensure that all went well.

Convenient, spacious and luxurious
This apartment was like a 5 star hotel complete with helpful concierge and spectacular view. It was the perfect location from which to explore the great sites in London. We were a short bus ride away from Kew Gardens, and a short bus ride to the Piccadilly Line tube. Diane was very communicative and helpful. We were in touch frequently before our visit, communication was very easy going and friendly. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality.
This was a very impressive apartment with views across to London. Transport by train and by bus were excellent. There was a small supermarket about 100 meters from the front door. Diane and Geoffrey were lovely host. We plan to catch up when they return to Sydney and have a BBQ together.
