  Vam tenir un cap de setmana fantàstic a El Ges, descobrint l'entorn, fent el primer foc de la temporada i fent alguna excursioneta. La casa és còmoda i acollidora, amb una decoració rústica i amb totes les comoditats. Moltes gràcies!

• Lovely stay in El Ges

  We truly enjoyed swapping houses with Hans, Laura, Markus and Maria! El Ges, a tiny village in the mountains, is an excellent place to feel on holiday. Imagine waking up and having breakfast with a peaceful view on Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park. This is a place where time seems to melt, where you can take your time to relax. But rest assure, plenty of things to do. We visited a few Catalan villages, checked out quite a lot of swimming pools, went hiking in the enormous natural park that borders at El Ges, tried Catalan coca, chatted with the village residents, did daily walks with the house dogs,… We have small children (2,5,7 years old) and they had fun in the house and the village crowded with cats. There is a huge pile of LEGO and a housecat to play with. The house (and kitchen) is very well equipped. We discovered the fun of making homemade ice-cream and of home cinema! There is excellent cheese and fish to find in la Seu D’Urgell. Throughout the swap, communication was excellent. Markus made a website to explain everything about the house and to suggest nice activities nearby (very useful!). Hans helped me to find walking tracks and helped with any practical issue, such as the gas bottle running out. Thanks also for the brother-in-law who was there to open the door and to guide us. We are very grateful for the extremely nice holiday we had in El Ges. Our door is always open to meet each other, in case they would cross Belgium again in the future.

• Beautiful home with wonderful mountain views

  We have had a great stay, after a warm welcome by Hans in their beautiful house in the tiny village of El Ges. We did many hikes into the quiet, wild nature of the Pyrenees, and there is a nice city just 15 minutes away. It was great fun to take care of the dogs, and Hans & Laura took very good care of our home. We can totally recommend this exchange!
