• A beautiful, recommendable place to visit.

  Guido, Alessia and their 3 children have a lovely, ancient and distinctive home in the heart of the small town Galbiate, living close to very friendly and helpful neighbours. Just outside their door you will find the local bakery, walking just a few 100 meters longer you find the local pizzaria and best of all; the very best Italian icecream ever!! Our famliy of five have very much enjoyed these facilities and experiencing the "small community" they live in. Galbiate is perfectly located close to Como lake and all it´s beautiful nature and cities. We went to Varenna, Bellagio, Bellano and the waterfall, Mennagio and Como city. We went svimming in the lake and in svimming pools in Aquaworld and Mennagio. We went with cable cars several places and hiking in Valssasina. Galbiate is also close to the border of Swiss, where we went hiking to the "Ponte Tibetano" (a suspension brigde in the forrest) and saw the famous "Contra Dam". Extremely beautiful place to visit! Overall a wonderful relaxing and active holiday for us. Very recommendable exchange to make. Thank you for a wonderful exchange-holiday.

  We had a really good time! The neighbors were very helpful, and always willing to answer questions. We also really loved the area. The small towns were very nice, and we had the opportunity to visit Lecco and Milan. In particular, our favourite part was the time we got to spend at Lake Como. The Pirovanos are a very nice family!

  Galbiate, located near the Lago die Como, is a charming small town with everything you need, including a market with regional products and great ice cream. We really had plenty of space in the Pirovano's apartment for our lazy days and felt very much at home there - and on the other days there was so much to do: hiking and climbing in the nearby Alps or just around Galbiate, strolling around in beautiful villages along Lake Como, visiting beatiful italian cities like Bergamo, Como, Lecco, Milano! One of the highlights was the nightly visit of Lecco's campanile, organized by Rita, one of the very friendly neighbours, especially for us. The two weeks werre not enough ...

• Une très belle expérience humaine et touristique

  Une ancienne et très belle bâtisse bien rénovée dans laquelle nous nous sommes sentis très bien, dans une région magnifique où nous avons allié visites culturelles (musées, villes) et baignades dans des paysages naturels superbes. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par les amis de la communauté de familles de nos hôtes, qui nous ont proposé leur aide et des idées de visites très intéressantes.
