• A very warm welcome!

  We did enjoy our stay very much, a very comfortable house and nice garden. Also a very very warm welcome, it was nice to meet each other bij arrival. A lot of information about all the things to do in the area. We and our children felt at home and had two wonderful weeks. We were also very happy with the contact.

  Very nice and frendly family. We had a marvellous dinner together in their home and a very pleasent stay. The house is very nice, with a wonderful garden to make BBQQ in a very quiet área quite near the river with a very beatifull path to walk and to go by bike to the Nantes City center and aslo very good comunícate to the rest of Bretagne and Loire región.   Un immence merci à Cécile, Philippe et leurs enfants pour cet échange et leurs nombreuses attentions sympathiques. Leur maison, calme et reposante, est idéalement située pour visiter Nantes et sa région. A Nantes, ne manquez pas les machines de l'Île et son éléphant, le passage Pommeraye, le château des ducs de Bretagne ou les nombreux parcs et jardins. Sur la côté, nous avons apprécié Pornic, Piriac, Guérande et ses marais salants. Plus proche de la maison, nous avons beaucoup aimé notre balade au bord de l'Erdre.

  Merci pour cet échange très agreable. Maison très agréable à vivre, à proximité immédiate de Nantes. Région magnifique à visiter. Très bon accueil (délicieuses spécialités), bonne communication avant et pendant le séjour.

• Nantes, modern open French city with lots of histo

  We loved being in the Nantes area. The city itself is beautiful and interesting. You can follow a green painted line on the streets to see all the highlights. Very clever idea. The "island" in the city has a great atmosphere with the walking elephant as highlight. But also the river Loire and her way to see is great to see and follow with a great combination of nature, history and modern art installations. The Atlantic ocean is only 1h away so perfect for another day out. The house of the family Cécile and Philippe has an excellent location to all of that. Only 10 minutes with a suburban tram to the city center, only 10 minutes on foot to local supermarkets and a delicious bakery, nice walks along the Erdre-river etc. The house itself is clean, open and has all you need for a perfect holiday. Flocon, the house-cat is very friendly and offers free love and attention. We got a very warm welcome from Cécile and Philippe and the children before they left their house to drive to ours. Nice way of meeting our exchange-partners! If they opportunity is there, we surely wanna go back once!

• A welcoming family home

  We were made very welcome at lunch with the Cottancin family when we arrived, and they made us an amazing evening meal before they departed. They are very generous hosts. This modern house suited our family well - particularly once we found out how the silence the Furby! Their cat was very sociable and loved by our children. During our stay we visited Nantes twice and the coast twice. In Nantes we visited Ile de la Machines, Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne and La Cathédrale Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul, and enjoyed crepes. On the coast we visited Pornic, Serpent d'Océan, and Noirmoutier. Unfortunately the tide was not in our favour to cross Le Passage du Gois this time.

  Un grand merci pour le bel accueil qui nous a été réservé ! Le premier échange en France pour nous, le premier accueil pour nos hôtes qui réussissent parfaitement l'échange de maison ! De chouettes balades, une chouette maison, un poulet rôti chaud à notre arrivée, des barbecues à n'en plus finir.... Merci pour tout ;-)
