• Dreamy Tavira Delight!

  What a fabulous Villa home!! This home setting makes for a perfect holiday, like sitting poolside under the lemon and orange trees, gathering around outside at the table in the shade playing cards, using the terrace lounge area upstairs, and having AC in all bedrooms. The top floor terrace with ocean view is perfect for lounging, evening drinks and dinners. This home is well equipped for families, even though there was just the two of us, we made full use of the games and pool floats. The location is a 20-30 minute walk down to the old town, where bars, cafes, restaurants, historical monuments, shops banks are situated along the river. The bus and trains are also easy to utilize for venturing further away. We loved the nearby world renowned long sandy beaches! Go by ferry(scenic with flamingos on the salt flats) to Ilha de Tavira, where Tavira Beach (Praia) has ever so resting upbeat ambient vibes. Lots of restaurants and bars. Other beaches worth visting, such as Barril, and Fuzeta where all have shaded loungers for rent! we even took a journey to Portamao to sail on a pirate ship to visit the famous cliffside caves. Tapa bars we liked were Sitio Cafe, Mateos, O'Gusta, Terraze, Brisa de Rio, Avant-Garde Bistro plus many more we hope to discover next time!! The city Mercado on Saturday mornings is a bustle of activity, fresh farm produce, every type of fish and more. Vendors, shoppers getting their weekly fresh items, local folks simply visiting each other over freshly prepared lunches, and there are antiques galore to peruse. This is a great home and great location to enjoy the charming town of Tavira and nearby attractions. Thank you so very much Robin and Jill.

  Had a wonderful time in Robin’s home. The location is perfect and the house is an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Robin met us when we arrived and made us feel very welcome. A great exchange. Thank you.

  Many thanks Robin for the use of your second home. We found the city relaxing, welcoming and very attractive to explore. We felt that a car was preferable here to get around easily, but we certainly got in plenty of walking each day in our exploring. The villa had everything we needed for an easy going stay, and the agents made sure we were met upon arrival and were easily able to manage everything. Thanks again! Barb and Ray
