Schoorl is een prachtige omgeving!
Wij hebben twee keer mogen genieten van de heerlijke omgeving van Schoorl. Vanuit de woning van Lettie en Fokko loop je zo de duinen in. Het uitzicht op de kerk vanuit de woonkamer is prachtig! Het huis is comfortabel echter de badkamer kan wel een update gebruiken;-) Deze woning is een aanrader als je van wandelen in het prachtige duingebied houdt en natuurlijk de zee!! Alkmaar is een aanrader om te bezoeken. Dankjewel Lettie en Fokko dat wij hier 2x van mochten genieten. Groet, Marianne&Henriëtte

Een heerlijk huis in een super locatie, dicht bij een prachtig duingebied en strand! Ook winkels heel dichtbij. Verrassend rustig direct naast een druk centrum. De tuin is erg mooi en groot, daar hebben we veel van genoten. We komen graag nog eens!
Great exchange in a lovely location
This was our first time visiting the Netherlands and we were not disappointed! Lettie and Fokko's house and garden were lovely and the town of Schoorl that it was in was really nice. There were a lot of things to explore in the area. We had many lovely days exploring the dunes on foot and by bike. It is such a great area to cycle in. There were also many beautiful and extremely clean beaches nearby. We particularly liked Camperduin as a family as we all swam in the North sea which we found to be warm! The beach also had a lagoon which meant that our children could safely play on inflatables without the danger of being blown out to sea! Further afield there are plenty of other places to visit. We especially enjoyed our days visiting the island of Texel and getting the double decker train to Amsterdam. Thanks again to Lettie and Fokko for their hospitality and for looking after our home and animals so well. We would definitely recommend an exchange to their house and the town of Schoorl!
Fantastic place to visit!
What a superb exchange we had in Schoorl. Lettie and Fokko have a beautiful home which was very spacious and has a very large, woodland garden which our 2 boys (age 5 and 11) enjoyed very much. We were so amazed with the area - Schoorl itself is a lovely touristy village with plenty of restaurants and shops and our exchange house couldn't be better positioned to enjoy it! Literally step out of the back gate and you are on a huge sand dune which we had great fun running up and down! Imagine a ski slope but with sand and you'll have a good idea of what it was like! We spent many days at the beach at Camperduin which we loved - actually swimming in the North Sea! We caught the train into Amsterdam from Alkmaar Nord station which was a great experience (double decker train!) and visited the Van Gogh Gallery. We had a lovely canal boat tour in Alkmaar and drove to Edam (for cheese of course) and also visited Madurodam (miniature world) near The Hague. We found a super little art gallery/museum north of Schoorl at Callantsoog called Jutters which was fantastically interactive - the artist made art from beach found objects. We enjoyed biking and exploring the forest on the dunes. We really loved the area, had a superb holiday and made some lasting memories. Lettie and Fokko made us feel very welcome and their hospitality was very much appreciated. Highly recommended!
this was our ideal family holiday - the house, set
Everything was so easy from the minute we arrived. We loved the beautiful spacious home, which was full of character and really comfortable. The garden was ideal, massive with a lawned area and woods and really safe for our young boys to wander and explore. Schoorl itself is a fantastic place for a family holiday, and the back gate led to the sanddune, and also to a bicycle track which took us directly to the beach. I don't think I've ever been on such a lovely beach in Europe, it was so clean, had great facilities for having a drink or ice cream, somewhere that hired parasols and windbreakers. The house is right next to a mini supermarket, bakers and butchers as well as bars and restaurants, really convenient for grabbing daily essentials. We just loved it, felt so relaxed and were quite sad leaving, it felt so familiar to us. Our house was super clean when we got back, Lettie had even washed and dried some of the bedding. Wonderful. If ever you would like to swap with us again, we would love to return to Schoorl!
Schoorl- family Oosterhof - a wonderful place!
we liked the place very much! the house is big, has large rooms with all comfort , and a sunny big garden. Our boys have done a kitesurfcourse nearby in Camperduin. We enjoyed Schoorl as a very nice place with many tourists, bordered by wood (we went jogging a lot) and dunes (fun for children!) We have been in Amsterdam by car - 40 minutes drive only- and then enjoyed the bycicle town! Other nice places easy to reach! Fam. Ooosterhof left a lot of informations and it was great to communicate and exchange everything. Thank you!! All the following homeexchangers we wish a good time too! Reinhilde from Austria
