• Very nice flat in a lovely part of the world

  Linda and Egon’s flat was extremely clean, it is beautifully furnished and there are lots of lovely family photos and Linda’s artwork on the walls. Egon very kindly collected us from the airport and drove us to the flat, this was very much appreciated after a long flight. We didn’t use the buses but the nearest metro station (Villa Maria) is about 15 minutes away. From there you can get to the town centre in another 15 minutes (you can also catch the shuttle to the airport just outside a metro station which is about 3 stops away or you can go all the way to the bus station). There is a supermarket about 5 minutes up the road and a lovely shopping area with lots of restaurants and cafes a few minutes away. There is also a rather old (but free swimming pool) a bit further away which we used several times for a quiet swim. We were extremely lucky with the weather, it was hot and sunny most of the time and we were able to see Montreal in all its glory. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances Linda and Egon could not come to our house in the UK as planned. We look forward to welcoming the in the future.

  Étant originaire de Montréal, mais habitant à l'extérieur depuis 50 ans, je n'avais jamais vécu dans ce secteur. Il a été intéressant pour moi de redécouvrir Montréal sous un autre angle. Le mont Royal est facilement accessible à pied et l'accès au métro à 15 minutes de marche. L'appartement de location échangé est adéquat dans un grand complexe plutôt vieillot.
