  • What a pleasant way to visit Dublin

Hugh and Geraldine's house was all ready for us, with a welcoming bottle of wine, delicious bread and Irish cheese. We quickly felt at home and I was surprised how much this home felt like my own, down to the contents of fridge and book shelves. Before long we had a handle on the many useful bus routes to get us to free galleries and museums, the GPO immersive experience, Hugh Lane Gallery, 14 Henrietta Streets for the tenements (while I highly recommend), The Little Museum (which I don't recommend) and the moving and educational display about The Famine. We also visited Howth by bus and the Botanical Gardens, the beautiful cemetery next door and the Gravediggers' Pub, which was excellent. I enjoyed my first experience of Guinness, my first house exchange, and fascinating Dublin all made the more pleasurable by staying at Hugh and Geraldine's comfortable home.

  • Convenient for all things Dublin

Outside space, easy off street parking and all you need within walking distance

  • A lovely house, just like been at home.

A lovely house,in a great location for exploring the City. It was really nice that Hugh and Geraldine, made the holiday in Dublin so easy with all the detailed information which was left in the house for us. Thank you. Jim and Ann.

  • Very good exchange, nice house with garden

  • Bella eperienza!

Thanks Geraldine and Hugh! For giving us the opportunity to live the Irish way, which we have wanted for a long time. Your quiet and bright home welcomed us and gave us comfort… especially on the return of the days we drove on the roads to Galway and Giant Causeway. In fact, we also exchanged the car and this gave us the opportunity to reach fantastic spaces and then go back to using public transport to visit the surroundings of Dublin. The information and assistance that Geraldine and Hugh have provided us have been invaluable. Nonetheless, we forgot to pay the motorway on schedule: they were very nice and agreed to do it, refunding them the amount due in cash. They have been valuable partners. Rosi and Margherita

  • Very helpful exchange partners!

Our partners Geraldine and Hugh went above and beyond and I was glad we had the chance to meet and to share our own home with them. Their house in Dublin is close to all the major sites, but in a residential area on a quiet street near parks and shopping. It has a lovely back yard garden and open concept kitchen, dining and living area. Help with the bus system was provided and allowed us to park the car and get around the Republic of Ireland's capital easily using transit.

  • Good stay will certainly do another.

Enjoyed great stay, ideal location for exploring Dublin and further afield should you wish. Geraldine & Hugh ( experienced exchangers ) most certainly made the whole process much easier with all their help and advice....thank you much appreciated ????

  • Really enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely and light and the garden is great, and we really liked the area - nearby supermarket and cafes, a short bus ride to the centre, but easy access to the highlights around Dublin. We went to Newgrange and the lovely Boyne Valley, and to Powerscourt and Glendalough, as well as taking in plays at the Abbey Theatre and interesting museums (and pubs). Thank you Geraldine and Hugh for our exchange.

  • We have had a very nice vacation in Dublin. Hugh and Geraldine's house is very confortable with a very nice garden in an elegant district of Dublin. It was very easy to reach the centre town of the lovely Dublin with bus. We have visited with DART the surroundings north and south on tha coast of Dublin.

  • We had a really nice stay at Geraldine and Hugh's home. The house was quiet, confortable , the little garden had a lot of charms. We were close to the center of Dublin. We went to the center with the bus . We loved irishes people who are really so lovely . We visited famous places and pubs with guinness in Dublin . Thank you to Geraldine and Hugh for this home exchange !

  • We spent a great week in Dublin and enjoyed very much Hugh and Geraldine's cozy home. Very spacious and comfortable and pretty well located in a quiet neighbourhood and very well connected to the city centre. We also enjoyed the many attractions that Dublin offers. Among the lively streets, museums and churches (and Irish breakfasts), we reccomend a good dish of oysters at The Bank.

  • Hugh & Geraldine's place is a great location for exploring Dublin. We had a lovely 10 days roaming over Farmleigh, Phoenix Park, Georgian Dublin, museums and art galleries and savouring Irish stew and the very delicious beers. It's close to buses and local shops, but also comfortable and tranquil enough to relax when you need to. (And we enjoyed their books!).
