Wonderful house in fantastic city
We had such a wonderful stay in Beth and Steve’s beautiful home. The house was well equipped with every comfort and immaculately clean. The location of the house is close to the best of Bristol and boasts stunning views towards the SS Great Britain. We loved Clifton village with its bars, cafes, restaurants and shops and spent hours exploring the docks, museums, cathedral and SS Great Britain. Thank you Beth and Steve for the opportunity to enjoy a lovely weekend.
Impressive house overlooking the harbour
We loved everything about Steve and Beth's impressive house, their village, Clifton and Bristol. It was great to leave the car parked for our entire stay, whilst we enjoyed walks to the local pub (the Lion, with good food and beer), cafes etc, Clifton Suspension bridge, Leigh Woods, Austin Court, the Clifton Downs, Bristol Harbour, and enjoyed relaxing in your peaceful garden on the terrace, overlooking the harbour and SS Great Britain. Thank you for your kind gift and making us feel so welcome.
Lovely home, stunning view, great location.
We loved the proximity to Clifton & Harbourside, all within walking distance. A comfortable home to explore the area from, with the great panoramic outlook to return to.
Beautiful home, great location…perfect!
An exceptionally well equipped home with so many lovely features and a stunning view over the floating harbour. We loved our stay in Bristol, so much variety, so much to see and do in the city and surrounds, great tips and easy communication throughout. Thank you Beth and Steve for making us feel at home.
Charming home and garden
Our exchange with Beth and Steve was very enjoyable, we enjoyed meeting them. Great location for exploring Bristol, even if the steep climb back to the house left us gasping for breath, but worth it for the views.
Overlooking Bristol's harbor
This exchange was just fabulous ! The house is very pretty and comfy, the view over the harbor fantastic and the town so lively ! Beth prepared everything to make our stay unforgettable, lots of informations and a house ready to live in. We enjoyed visiting this part of England and will keep very good memories of our vacation there. Our guests took great care of our house and we found everything very neat and tidy when we returned home. Thank you so much for this memorable exchange ! See you another time maybe ?
A historical house with a fantastic view!
We felt immediatelly like at home in Beth and Steves tastefull decorated house. It is a perfect located and quiet place to reach everything by foot. Bristol is a vibrant city and also has a fantastic surrounding. Thank you Beth and Steve for all the information in advance and the easy communication via Whatsapp during the exchange.
A top location - the house was amazing
The house is a gem, with a lovely garden with views of the SS Great Britain and... a Banksy mural. The latter one hard to find, we discovered it only in the last 5 minutes of our stay! Bristol is a beautiful town with lots of things to see. Especially for us - at least that's what we were told by one of the volunteers on SS Great Britain- there was a documentary on TV about Brunel's work. We were immersed in history and in local culture. Bethany and Steve left loads of information and good tips for food and shopping. We will be happy to go again! Lief and Gerda
Very nice people, special house, unique city
As soon as Beth & Steve heard we'd already be in the UK before the swap with them would start, they invited us for tea and practical explanation. So we've actually met Beth & Steve and they are very nice people. Their house on the hill is really special: where can you see an old harbour from the living room, your bed and even the bath? Actually, the explanation was not necessary, because they've made an excellent manual. Later, during our stay, they reacted very pleasant and fast to our questions. Bristol has many faces. The ever changing collection of high quality graffiti (often called "street art") in many streets is amazing and unique.
A great place in a great city!
We had a wonderful time in this very friendly city with its many attractions - we even got the see the Harbour Festival - and we could enjoy the marvellous view from the garden with a glass of cider as well - thanks for the good time we were allowed to have in your nice place!
