  Many thanks to Peter for his hospitality and comfortable home and garden. Even though our swap was cut short by Peter's brother in law's illness , we enjoyed our stay at Worthing which is a really good base to visit the surroundings such as Denmans Gardens , Chichester and its theatre ( the Sound of music musical was worth it , thanks Peter ! ) , Weald and Downland living Museum ....not to mention Worthing and Arundel Castle.

  We had a wonderful time in your home. Your home had everything we wanted, it was very comfortable and we had plenty of space for our family. It was also well-situated in this fantastic oceanside town that really had it all. We appreciated your suggestions of things to do in the area, and you really did provide us with great information (guidebooks etc.) that helped us make the most of our time. We truly felt we were able to enjoy the best of Worthing and the surrounding area. Thanks also for the great restaurant suggestions- we tried them all! We would like to give a big thank you to you (AND your family and neighbours!) for making us feel so welcome and comfortable during our stay. Happy travels going forward Peter. Michael and Colette

• Lovely Home Near Sea

  Peter is a great host and we had a great exchange in West Sussex. Worthing is close to nice beaches but we mostly went to Goring by the Sea and the Sea Lanes Cafe for a lovely brunch. We visited Arundel and Brighton andc enjoyed nice walks in The Devils Duke and up to Cissbury Ring Iron age for as well as the living museum North of Chichester. Peters home and garden were perfect for our family. The street is quiet and clos e to good shops and a short walk to the beach and Worthing Pier is not far. Our house and car was left clean and tidy too when we returned Would recommend.

  We felt thoroughly at home at Peter’s house surrounded by interesting native Australian and African art and various electronic aids for modern living - we became firm friends with Alexa! The garden terrace was a haven for relaxing in over breakfast and at the end of the day. Within easy reach were the local shops and level walks along Worthing Seafront. Also, just a few miles away, a range of Cafes on the beach (eg Ferring and Kingston Gorse). Here easy walking routes were also available. Brighton and Chichester beckoned (with the stimulating Ben Nicholson exhibition at Pallant House Art Gallery and also great for lunch!) Splashpoint leisure centre in Worthing was friendly and easy to access for swimming. Proximity to a number of old friends made for socialising opportunities for which we were very grateful.

  The home was as described and we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. We particularly enjoyed having the sea so nearby as well as a parade of shops and takeaways on our doorstep. The house is light and spacious with an attractive garden and patio for sitting out. There is also an excellent choice of channels on the TV. We were happy just to explore the beautiful beaches between Goring and Tarring, but had we been more adventurous Peter provided a comprehensive range of maps, guidebooks, walks, and leaflets for our reference. All in all, a great base from which to visit the Sussex Coast, towns, and villages as well as the South Downs.

  We enjoyed every minute of our holiday. The house was is an excellent location, near shops, public transport, restaurants, the beach. There was so much for us to see and do, every day was action packed. We absolutely loved it.

  Peter , we had a lovely time at your house that was well suited for our needs .House nicely positioned so we had privacy and no noise from traffic etc. Having shops so close was an asset ( particularly for the grand children's needs ),.. Your house is in easy reach of Brighton... and West Wittering beach is a must for other exchangers ! Thank you for leaving our home so clean and tidy We would certainly love to exchange again with you in the future
