About our House
Our home is a modernised original farm house set in quiet open fields and forest visited by koalas, kangaroos and parrots, on the edge of a beachside tourist town. On three sides we face fields and forest and on the fourth side, houses have been built.
About the Town
Port Macquarie is on the Hastings River, 350 kms north of the state capital, Sydney, served by daily trains, buses and aircraft. Visitors are attracted by the warm climate, waters and surfing beaches, the surrounding natural areas and the many recreational activities including golf, fishing, tennis, bush walking, sailing, surfing and the spectator sports of Rugby Union, Rugby League, Australian Rules football and football.
The town has many restaurants and dining areas, art gallery and a cultural centre is being built.
We are retired schoolteachers who exchanged in Europe in 2005.
We are seeking to exchange houses as our plans are to look for a boat suitable for cruising inland waterways.
