Our house is situated between the mountains and the sea. We have a large front and backyard with extensive gardens. We have a lot of space around us including fields (which are grazed by cattle) and a woodland walk which encompasses the entire property. We have a modernised traditional Irish farmhouse with child friendly surroundings. No traffic nearby as we live at the end of a secluded lane.
Lots of mountain walking to be done in the area as we are situated at the bottom of the Mourne Mountains. Lots of tourist attractions nearby including the Silent Valley, Tollymore Forest Park and Castlewellan Forest Park - all within a short drive. World class mountain bike trails close by in both Castlewellan and Rostrevor Forest Parks. Belfast is only a 1 hour drive away with the new Titanic Centre. Also a 2 hour drive takes you to all the tourist attractions on the north coast including the Giants Causeway. We have a range of kayaks and Canadian canoes plus camping gear that can be used. We also have a jack russell called Missy. She can stay or we can arrange for her to be looked after elsewhere
