We live in the charming seaside suburb of Devonport on Auckland's North Shore, in a lovely 1950's home with character features and a sunny, private setting.

Lonely Planet recently listed Auckland as the top destination in New Zealand and our home is perfectly located to enjoy all the best Auckland has to offer.

There are six or more beaches within 3 - 15 minutes, and a choice of two ferries within 3 - 5 minutes which can take you to the vibrant Auckland downtown and viaduct area in 10 minutes. Or drive to the city in about the same time.

Five minutes away is the beautiful, historic and charming main street of the village of Devonport, with cafes and restaurants, unique shops, galleries, the oldest functioning cinema in New Zealand, segway tours, horse and cart rides, and many other points of interest, including the fascinating historic North Head where you can explore defence tunnels created in the 1880's, bike or walk to the top or around the seawalk on the perimeter, fish from the rocks, slide on cardboard down the grassy slopes, check out the Navy Museum and cafe, and more. Use our home as a base to enjoy many fantastic day trips such as a ferry ride to Waiheke Island for wineries, galleries, more beaches and beautiful surroundings. Or over to Rangitoto Island - a volcanic island with 360 degree views of the stunning Auckland Harbour from the summit.

Just 45 minutes north of the city is the Matakana area, with a charming farmer's market, restaurants, sculpture trails, beaches on the East Coast, etc.

We have everything you need for the kids to have fun too - a swing, lots of games, scooters and bikes, etc. There is a fabulous playground in the village area, and several other playgrounds nearby.
