The town is situated at the border between the north east regions of Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia: it is 7 km away from the medieval city of Portogruaro, and perfectly located half way between Venice and Trieste. For beach lovers, some of the main summer resorts of the area are located within 25 km from Teglio Veneto).The area around Teglio Veneto is mainly countryside, with numerous protected natural areas. During the summer period, a lot of cultural and enogastronomic events take place in the towns of the area.Within one hour by train or car, you can reach the most important cities of the region (Venice, Padua, Treviso, Udine, Trieste); a bit further away (but always reachable for a one-day excursion) you can get to other areas such as Romeo and Juliet’s Verona, or the UNESCO site of Palladian Villas in the province of Vicenza.
