From our house you cross the road and you are on a beautiful white sand beach, looking toward the Bass rock and the Fife coastline. There are 2 golf courses in North Berwick and numerous 1st class other ones nearby. North Berwick is a delightful fishing town, with a sheltered harbour and a busy High Street where there is a butchers, bakery, hardware store and numerous artisan shops and delicatessens. We have a good choice of restaurants and cafes, but should you wish to leave North Berwick, we are 30 minutes outside of Edinburgh,which you can to easily by train, taking you into the heart of the city. Edinburgh is a very old and picturesque city with lots going on at all times of the year, but is renowned for the famous Edinburgh Festival and Fringe to the Hogmanay Street party at New Year. There are beautiful walks along the North Berwick coastline and a great point to explore the Scottish borders and not far to access the North for longer day trips.
I think it is the perfect place to live, as you can be as busy or as quiet as you want, whilst always surrounded binaural beauty.
