Joan, Aoife our grandaughter and myself had a beautiful relaxing week in Sarah and James lovely modern home in Moycullen Village just 15 mins from Galway.It was Sarah and James 1st exchange and the house was presented beautifully and we wish them many happy and successful exchanges in the years ahead.Moycullen has everything a modern village needs on shopping and personal care fronts.The Forge Restaurant and Pub and White Gables Restaurant and Coffee Shop serve magnificent food.We visited Clifden, Spiddel, Leenaun, Killary Fjord, Kylemore Abbey, Ashford Castle, Cong and many of the beautiful lakes in Connemara.We visited Leisureland swimming pool in Galway every morning and it is a fantastic facility.Galway is a shining light in the west of Ireland with a personality not found in any other Irish City.It is a must visit destination, steeped in history and the very best in Traditional Ireland. Thank you Sarah & James for a wonderful house exchange in the lovely village of Moycullen. From Dublin to Galway on bus than a short taxi drive to Moycullen.. Found home very comfortable & the sunroom was a warm gem. Cable tv a bonus . 2 min walk to village where there is ample shopping. 2 supermarkets, 2 chemist butcher & 3 hotels. Our favourite was the Forge where we were always welcomed with friendly service. It was easy to catch a bus into the vibrant Galway. So lucky to be there for the Arts Festival & week of horse racing. Weather was brilliant. Easy day trips to Cliffs of Moyer, Spiddal Beach, Clifden & a must visit to Kylemore Abbey. For golfers the Galway Golf Club & harbour drive plus Oughterard golf course.
