We are a family who love the outdoors, especially water and walking.Barry (56 years) Sharon (53) one daughter (23) who may not travel with us and two sons 20 and 18, who love music, hiking, soccer and golf. We have exchanged 13 times in Ireland and Europe and all been very successful.We have plenty of facilities for an active family, bicycles, including a tandem, kayaks, soccer area, wet suits, paddle boards. We have a large landscaped private garden including three decking areas a hammock, four hens and organic vegetable beds and a poly tunnel, your welcome to what's in season!! We have family close by if you need assistance.

Our neighbourhood is quiet, in the countryside but only 1.5miles from the town which is well facilitated, shops, train, cafes, bakery, swimming pools, theatre, 18 hole golf, horse riding, walks, pubs etc. Its an ideal base to visit Ashford castle, Galway city, blue flag beaches and islands to explore, cliffs of moher, zip wire parks in Lough key,kayaking in one of the lakes, take the train to Dublin for the day

From our house its a short walk to the town, Clare lake (5kms) walk, two old forts. Aghnas cafe has the best freshly cooked food and bakery. Our previous (12)exchangers all enjoyed day trips to Ashford castle in Cong, (20 mins drive)... voted one of top ten hotels in the world. Hiking in Connemara, Atlantic drive in Achill island and cycling the Great western Greenway , they also loved the days relaxing in our home and garden, sitting out on the decks or playing football. We have a new member to the family, our cockapoo, she is the friendliest dog, you will love her, if you don't want to, we have family nearby that will take "Bindi".
If your an active family your will enjoy our kayaks, bicycles and surf boards.

Please understand you are welcome in our home but it's vital you leave it clean and tidy, that you replace anything that you break.Our home is a smoke free zone, if you need to smoke do so outside.Please be respectful with musical instruments.Please water indoor and outdoor plants, even if it rains!! If we exchange cars please use the recommended car mechanic (if needed) and leave the car with a tank full of petroleum, as you found it. If you take out the bicycles, please use the locks.
