I live with my son Pierre aged 16 years. We both love travelling and speaking languages. We've never been in the USA and would love to.
He studies English and Spanish, plays tennis and loves music (he plays drums).
I work free-lance in the field of communication within the food sector (gastronomy, chefs...) which is quite nice in Lyon, a city which has A LOT to offer. I work mainly on an international scale and love meeting new cultures.
We also have a very friendly cat called Blacky who lives here but is very independant.
I am looking for a house or a flat which would allow us to visit, learn, meet people but I would enjoy the place to be quite and not too noisy. It is the case or our flat which, although located in a city is in a peaceful green area.

Lyon is France's 2nd town (1.8 M inhabitants). Large enough to offer all comodities but cool and friendly town. Lively cultural life (music, concerts, danse, museums etc.) Old town founded in Roman times. Large Renaissance area listed on UNESCO list. Famous for good food. Many open air markets. Close to wine districts. Door to Rhone-Valley and Provence. Easy access to Paris with fast train (2 hours). Close to mountains too (French Alpes) and Switzerland (Genève 2 hours car drive). 3 hours drive from Marseille and the Meditarranean sea. Lyon is ideally, centrally located to visit France.

No strict rules on our side in the flat (exept maybe "ecological" use of energy and water (no waste) but we expect our guests to respect the quiteness of the apartment block where people are nice and polite. And of course, we expect our guests to be kind with our friendly cat Blacky! In case you wish to travel around, we can arrange a neighbour to feed him. Our cat is very independant and though we live in a flat, he is a lot outside, jumps from the balcony (1rst floor) and comes up alone!! No need for cat litter...
