We are an American couple in our early 60s. We love good food and great wine and are willing to travel near and far to find it. We usually travel alone, but may invite another adult couple to join us if we find the right property. We mostly travel in spring and fall and stay home to tend our gardens in the summer months. We prefer non-simultaneous exchanges.

NO CATS!!
Stone townhouse part of original village wall in charming wine village near Montalcino, Montepulciano and Pienza. The house
is a perfect base for one or two couples to share and is walking distance to all necessary shops, cafes, wine bars and restaurants. Within a short distance are vineyards, castles and many charming Tuscan villages. We are 2 hours north of Rome and 1.5 hours south of Florence.
ALWAYS INTERESTED IN PARIS. We only do NON-SIMULTANEOUS exchanges.
The nearest train station is 45 minutes away so it is necessary to rent a car to explore the area.
(We have done six exchanges, but Homelink only lists one)

Our house fronts on a small piazza just under the Rocca (castle), which was originally built in the
900s. Behind the house is a large garden furnished for dining and relaxing. From the front door it's a very short walk to grocery stores, several good restaurants and all the necessary shops. There are dozens of vineyards and olive groves in the area and the local wines are of excellent quality. The village is 45 minutes from the nearest train station and a car is essential to visit.
Within 30 minutes you can drive to several of Tuscany's most beautiful towns. An hour ride to Siena.

There are seven restaurants, wine bars and cafes within a short walk of the house. The historic Rocca Aldobrandesca is now open for tours after a 23-year renovation, and the rocca in the neighboring village of Rocca d'Orcia can also be explored--climb to the top for a stellar view. In the nearby town of Bagno Vignoni there are three world class thermal spas and also some natural hot pools located in the woods. Many hiking trails are clearly marked in the area.
