We are a family of four (4) Canadians, living in Ottawa.
We have not done a house exchange before but I'd like to expose my children to new cultures, languages and customs.
I'm an independent consultant (Project management, IT, and business improvement). My wife, Diem, is a lawyer. Our children are 6 and 9 (as of 2018).
We rent out our basement apartment on Airb&b and have great reviews If we do an exchange with someone, we would stop bookings from occurring during the exchange.
I'm also have a hobby side business as a woodworker - visit www.cho-chu.ca to see my work.

We live in a residential area called Old Ottawa East that is walking distance to downtown Ottawa and other interesting neighbourhoods (Glebe, Elgin Street, downtown, Bytown market). Close to Ottawa University and St. Paul's University. Museums, arts centre, Rideau Canal, several cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Jogging and biking trails throughout Ottawa.

We are a 5 minute walk from the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage site great for walking, biking, skating in the winter, and boating. There are several restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood. The Museum of Nature is a 15 minute walk away. You can get downtown, to the Bytown market, the Glebe neighbourhood, Elgin Street and downtown by walking or biking. Ottawa University and St. Paul's University are both close.
