While our house is located 20 mns away from Ottawa, Canada's Capital, it feels like we are on holidays 365 days a year with its serene location and surroundings. Located on a waterfront, it is open to many activities: during the winter, skating, skiing, ice fishing is at your doorstep on the frozen Ottawa River. During the summer, swimming, sailing, canoeing, kayaking or simply enjoying the waterfront makes it heaven on earth for those enjoying the pleasure of water. Birdwatchers will be amazed at the number of birds landing in front of our house. We also get the occasional dear, falcon, eagles dropping nearby. Ottawa is a mere 20 mns away by car (1 hr bike ride) where you can visit a number of museums: Art Gallery, Museum of History, Museum of Science & Technology, an outstanding Museum of Nature among other activities. Aylmer, QC, has a number of attractions: a marina, over 200kms of bike ride/running trails, the stunning Gatineau Park is also located within 5 mns from the house, and this is just to name a few of the attractions in our city. We should also note the presence of multiple golf courses around Aylmer as well as a Casino and its outstanding restaurants: le Baccara & l'Arôme.
