Both Jan and I are retired from work. We are both very active and love the outdoors. We enjoy walking and cycling. We usually use Orienteering competitions around the world as a basis for planning our travels.

Beskrivelse af vores byttebolig
Our House is located in South Fremantle with a village atmosphere close to the beach and to the City of Fremantle.
We particularly like to cycle and love the outdoors so keen for exchanges in towns or small villages with ready access to the countryside with the opportunity to experience local living.
In 2016 we have a full book of holidays planned and not able to undertake any simultaneous holidays however now happy to consider exchanges where we travel in 2017 with either non or simultaneous exchanges.

In 2017 happy to consider anywhere in Europe with Italy (Tuscany in particular) a favourite. Its been a while since we have travelled to North America (East coast and New York is a preferred City) so that will also be very attractive for us. Love to experience a Fall.
We are open to non simultaneous exchanges to suit your prefer.red time to be in Australia. Please note however that the Perth climate is very mild compared to

South Fremantle is a quiet, friendly neighbourhood with numerous coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, organic and whole-food shops. All these facilities are located within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance. As is the beach and bus stops. The beach is suitable for all ages and has a nice sandy surface. There is a free bus that will take you into Fremantle City and train station to Perth. This bus is on a 10 minute cycle. The City of Fremantle is the port area and is a very popular tourist destination for both Perth residents and tourists. There are numerous historic buildings and a maritime museum. For those looking for nightlife Fremantle offers a range of lively hotels and night clubs and a broad range of restaurants. The coffee strip is a popular meeting area. The fishing boat area has a number of fresh seafood restaurants and take-outs. For those interested in Sailing the Fremantle Sailing Club is at the end of our street. Fremantle is a popular tourist destination.

All required facilities are located within walking distance. Also a free bus service on a 10 minute cycle into the historic City of Fremantle which is the major port of Western Australia. Fremantle is major tourist destination for locals and visitors alike. There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops along with fresh and organic food stores to give you plenty of options for eating in or dining out and not having to worry about drinking and driving or finding parking.
Along the coast there is a dual-use walking cycle path that extends from Fremantle in the north to woodman point in the South a distance of nearly 25 km. providing fabulous ocean vistas and many quiet, secluded and safe swimming locations.
In Fremantle there are clubs where you can play tennis and bowls as well as as indoor/outdoor swimming pool. There are gyms nearby.

Please check our exchange preferences below. We re very flexible apart from No Smoking inside the house or in the patio areas. Bedrooms are upstairs along with bathrooms. A toilet is located downstairs.
Garden is reticulated and minimal but nice cosy patio/courtyard areas to front and rear of house. House is set back from Road behind another house with pedestrian access to the street. A back lane provides access to the rear for the garage.
