Our house was completely renovated and extended in 2008 under supervision of an architect who specialises in the restoration of heritage buildings. The house has 2 bedrooms each with its own bathroom. The attractive and private back garden lends itself to outdoor eating and living.<br>
Our established neighbourhood is quiet and safe. It is close to parklands and a short drive or bike ride to the city centre. Cafes and local shops are a short stroll away.
To the east, it is a 5 minute drive to the Adelaide Hills where there are many restaurants and wineries, as well as walking and bike trails. Also, Cleland National Park in the hills, gets you up close to koalas, kangaroos and other native animals. Local beaches to the west are 20 minutes by car. Every year in February and March, the Adelaide Festival of Arts brings the city to life with events of every kind including the Womad music festival in Botanic Park.
We have really enjoyed Australian exchanges, as well as some longer exchanges overseas. Sometimes we have included car exchanges. With family now living in Melbourne, we have done some exchanges in Victoria. We respect the property of others and expect the same from fellow exchangers. There is an automated watering system for the garden. We are open to any necessary negotiations around particular issues . Please check our exchange preferences below
We enjoyed the perfect house and location to fulfil our Adelaide experience. The daily returns were to home, not to an anonymous hotel experience.
