From our rural home it is a shrt walk into the village with beautiful bakeries, cafes and Restaurants. Here you will find locals busking outside the local supermarket or under the shade of the trees surrounding local cafes. The river is close by and a perfect spot for a picnic and a swim in our temperate climate, There are canoes for hire and this is a lovely way to explore the beautiful countryside. Our local artists and craftsmen produce handmade leather goods ceramics, and handmade clothing. These are showcased at our large Bellingen markets held on the third weekend of every month. Local fresh organic produce and award winning gelato and bakeries add to the appeal of our lovely town. Day trips to the Dorrigo Rainforest for beautiful hiking and more gourmet treats, to the oceam for our secluded white sandy beaches. Byron Bay is a 3 hour drive. Whale watching and cruises operation the coast of Coffs Harbour, a 25 minute drive. The Big Banana has waterslides, iceskating and toboggans.
