We are an Austrian and African American family of four living in Vienna, Austria. Gudrun and Derek teach at local high schools, and our girls Nia (10) and Zoe (6) attend elementary school. Since all 4 of us go to school, we are limited to peak season/school holidays and long weekends.

We love traveling. We live in a city, so we like going to the countryside and the mountains. In winter we enjoy skiing a lot. In summer we are beach bums. We are also interested in getting to know other cities.

Hobbies include reading, cycling, hiking, skiing, traveling, cooking, sleeping, making art (Derek), playing, dancing, and gymnastics (the girls).
