We are located 30 kilometres west of Copenhagen and 4 kilometres from the centre og Roskilde. Roskilde lies at the bottom of Roskilde Fjord. Roskilde was founded during the Viking Age. At the harbour front is the world famous Viking Ship Museum and research centre. Altogether the harbour front is a very lively place during the summer period. In the Middle Ages Roskilde was the central city of Denmark, and most of our kings and queens are buried here in the cathedral, which is also a Unesco World Heritage site.
