We are the proud owners of a historical house (national monument) in the centre of Gouda. Quiet area with little traffic. Just 250 mtr from the market square, but also only 500 mtr from the pastures around the city.

Close to Amsterdam (45 min), The Hague (30 min), Rotterdam (20 min), and the beach (45 min), either by car or by train. It is a 15 min walk to the railway station. Trains run to all major cities at least 4 times an hour.

The house was built originally in 1463. We have a copy of a handwritten list of occupants since 1468. Originally a farmhouse within the city walls, the house was later used as a garage for carriages. Its latest non-residential use was as a cheese warehouse, until about 1980. In 1983 the inside was restructured to its current form.

The ground floor is almost 4 mtr high. Behind the two large doors is a 15 mtr deep garage, but we also have a separate garage in a court behind the house in which we park our car. At the back of the house is the sunny kitchen
