Our house is located on the outskirts of Penzberg, a small town about 40 minutes from Munich. The house is right next to a nature biotope and has unobstructed views of fields and forest. Our neighborhood is mainly single family homes with a mix of younger families and older residents. You can start a forest hike right outside our front door. It’s about a 5 minute car ride to get to grocery stores and downtown Penzberg with all the amenities of a small town. For more extensive shopping and culinary offers Munich is only a 30-40 minute drive away. There are lots of recreational outdoor activities close by. We are about 10 minutes from beaches at lake Starnberg, with Windsurfing and standup paddle (SUP) board rentals and swimming access. We
have an inflatable kayak that can be used. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails in the immediate area and for real alpine hikes, Zugspitze, Germany’s hugged mountain, and the Alp’s are only a 40 minute drive away. Perfect for skiing and winter sports as well.
