We returned to our roots in Norfolk after 40 years of living and working around the world. We spent several years in Scotland and like to return each year during the Edinburgh Festival. Jane had her own catering business and Adrian was in the International Oilfield industry.
Jane still loves cooking and Adrian is now a lecturer in Landscape History. We have two children and three grandchildren who have flown the coop but we see them regularly. We love the theatre, cinema and socialising with friends. And of course we love to travel!

Beskrivelse af vores byttebolig
Fascinating early 18th century Norfolk Farmhouse, not on an active farm any more and only 20 minutes from Norwich, the University of East Anglia and Sainsbury Centre and Norfolk & Norwich Teaching Hospital. It contains most of the original features, including oak beams and windows and an inglenook fireplace. It is filled with arts and curios from around the world.
Off-road parking for several vehicles.
There are two delightful bedrooms with south-facing views over the garden. One room has a double bed and the other twins or can be made into a super-king. There is a wash-hand-basin in each bedroom. and two extra bath/shower rooms.
The sitting room is large but very cosy with a wood-burning stove set in an inglenook fireplace. An HD widescreen television is provided. WiFi is available throughout the house. A wide range of books and magazines is available combined with a variety of games and puzzles.
North Tuddenham is situated in the geographical centre of Norfolk, surrounded by farmland and country lanes but still within a short distance of the celebrated North Norfolk Coast, Norfolk Broads and the fine City of Norwich (13 miles), one of England’s great medieval cities. Three miles to the market town of East Dereham, where all major supermarkets and a large variety of smaller retail outlets are available, with a twice-weekly market. There is a very good health centre with swimming pool.
North Tuddenham Common is a delightfully wooded landscape and only 400 hundred metres from the house so it's ideal for dog-walking and there is an unlimited number of walks nearby.

Beskrivelse af omegn
The house is detached and situated in its own grounds with a delightful large and enclosed garden with lawns and patio. It is on the edge of a small and quiet village. The Lodge Griddle and Grill Bar and Restaurant is only half a mile from the house and there are good pubs and restaurants in surrounding villages. There is a small farm shop with its own ice cream factory on an adjacent farm. Fresh eggs and milk come from half a mile away! Stables and horse riding available in the village. Dereham has its own bijou cinema.

Vores lokale tips for muligheder, steder at besøge, mens du er i vor bolig
The great attraction of our home is that, although we are located in a quiet rural location in the beautiful Norfolk countryside, we are only a few minutes drive from the delightful city Norwich. We are surrounded by ancient villages and over six hundred medieval churches; the highest concentration of these iconic structures anywhere in the world. We have the royal Sandringham estate nearby and a fantastic collection of country houses, parks and wildlife sanctuaries. Norfolk's highly-prized coastline is 100 miles long and all of it is within 45 minutes from our house and untouched by industrial or large-scale urban development. And of course there is the The Broads National Park. There is no area in Britain so steeped in landscape history: history that you can walk into, see and touch.
