Herzlichen Dank für eure Gastfreundschaft und den Haustausch. Euer schönes Zuhause war uns Ruhe- und Erholungsort, ebenso Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, Radtouren und Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Ohne euren Kontakt hätten wir vermutlich die Region Drenthe mit ihren Schönheiten nicht entdeckt (auch nicht die netten Bewohner und regionalen Leckereien). Eure Tipps waren dabei sehr hilfreich. We enjoyed a short exchange in Ruinerwold. An ideal place for walking tours or, as we did, cycling. And in case the weather is less, you can always fall back on, for example, reading a book because in this pleasant house that is certainly not a punishment. Communication was good and pleasant and all agreements were fulfilled. And at the end you come home and there is nothing to betray that there have been guests the last days.? Third house swap with Elise and Fred in Ruinerwold - my second home. It`s a really good feeling when you enter a home and know exactly, where the hairdryer is. It`s a really good feeling, when you wake up in the morning to the smell of freshly cut hay and cows and sheeps. It`s a really good feeling, when you are biking on the numerous cycle paths in the area, and you meet all the other pensioners saying hallo or goodemorgen. Drenthe is cycling country no. 1. I would like to come back.

Had the best swap ever with Elise and Fred. Their house is cosy, easygoing and Ruinerwold is the most wonderful town in Drenthe. The weather was on top with blue sky and sun. I did trips on bike to the small towns in the nearby - Stabhorst, Zwartsdijk, Havelte, Uffelte o.a. I visited the islandTherschelling and had a fine day in Den Haag. Thank you Elise and Fred for our second swap. I am ready to do it again.

Mooi, comfortabel huis op Drentse platteland. Prachtige fietsgebieden in de omgeving (Havelte, Dwingeloo, enz.) Lekker zwemmeertje op 2 km afstand. Meppel is een gezellige provinciestad en ook Ruinen heeft leuke terrassen. Heerlijke week gehad, ondanks de hitte. Dan is fietsen in de bossen wel zo lekker. Aanbevolen: Hans en Riekje.

Elisa and Fred´s house is a very nice spacious modern house. You easily feel at home. Everything is very modern and very well kept.

A warm welcome was waiting for us when we arrived in this beautiful, clean and tidy home, decorated with love. We loved all the big windows, bringing all the light ánd sunshine in and sitting in different places in the garden. In the area there are lots of things to do and see. We enjoyed visiting old cities such as Zwolle as well as taking the bikes to explore the beautiful nature in the area. A weekend was just too short! Thank you Fred and Elise for this wonderful exchange!

We had a great holiday in Fred and Elise's modernist home. We particularly enjoyed evenings on the balcony and the open-plan kitchen/ living area worked really well for our family. Ruinerwold is a lovely village and the brilliant cycle network meant that we could visit plenty of local attractions by bike. We particularly enjoyed visits to Groningen and the UNESCO world heritage site at Schokland, whilst the nearby town of Meppel has an excellent swimming pool and was also very attractive to wander around. We would highly recommend staying here.

I had a very fine stay in Ruinerwold in Elise and Freds lovely and welcoming house. I did a lot of cycling trips in the sourroundings, which is very easy on the fine cyclepaths in Holland. I vent to the beautyful city of Amsterdam, visited the Stedelijk museum as well as the canals and so. Also I visited the museum Krøller-Muller in Hoge Weluwe and Groninger Museum. I love Holland and the dutch people very much

Elise and Fred have a bright and well decorated house situated in a nice and calm neighbourhood. They really care about their guest and we felt at home during our stay. The region is close to the nature. We could ride and take adavantage of natural parks. It is also a perfect spot to visit north (Harlingen) and south (Amsterdam) of the Netherlands. Great exchange !
