we are a family of three adults and three children. My daughter is an Attorney, as is her husband. Two of the children attend school.I am a retired teacher but still have an involvement with education. I have interests in music and the arts.

Beskrivelse af vores byttebolig
Our home is a four bedroom house with two reception rooms, dining area and kitchen. We also have a separate studio at the rear of the garden which we use as a playroom. Our home is situated in the quiet residential area of Castleknock which is a small village with both shops, restaurants and boutiques. It is within walking distance of the Phoenix Park, which is the largest enclosed park in Europe and which houses the Presidential House, American Ambassadors residence, Farmeleigh, the Zoo and many walking and cycling routes. It is approximately five miles from the city centre and located close to the M50 motorway which links to all areas of Dublin and outside of Dublin. It is also within a ten to fifteen minute drive to Dublin Airport

It is a quiet residential neighbourhood. Its close proximity to the Phoenix Park is delightful. There are many attractive features to this Park that include cycle paths, tours of the President's home and Farmleigh House, the home of the Guinness Family. The Dublin Zoo is within the Park and there are many historical features to the Park.
The area has good shops, boutiques and restaurants. It is also very close to a major Shopping Centre.

We live in a lovely village setting only 5 miles from Dublin City Centre. There are a number of restaurants. The most popular of which are Castello Bruno, a family friendly Italian, Okra Green (Pakistani and Indian) and Wongs Chinese. There are two coffee shops (The Silver Spoon and Lo Cal). We also have a bakery which not only sells lovely breads and pastries but also lovely prepared food should you wish to eat at home and not cook ( The Butlers Pantry) . There is also a supermarket, two ladies boutiques, a beauticians and hairdressers. There is also a local pub (Myos) and a wine bar from Friday to Sunday at Lo Cal in the new village shopping area.
All these facilities are within walking distance of our home (approximately 7 mins).
We are also very lucky to live close to the Phoenix Park which is the largest enclosed park in Europe and where you can visit Dublin Zoo, Farmleigh and also enjoy the many walks and playgrounds for children. It also has extensive cycle paths.
The bus stop to the City Centre is approx. 3-4 mins walk from our house. The number 37 brings you in to the City Centre. There is also a train station close by which is about a 15 minute walk and is located at Navan Road Parkway Railway Station.
Our neighbourhood is a very family friendly location.
