We are Antoine, a retired Executive Chef and Wine Enthusiast, and Claire, a self-employed Psychotherapist. We are passionate about travelling and discovering other cultures. Claire loves animals, especially her beloved dog Daisy, who, unless you care to walk her everyday, would go to our son's during your stay here. Antoine now consults in the restaurant business and lectures on wine. We enjoyed four previous exchanges when our three sons were younger ( about twelve years ago). Now we would like to exchange again , just the two of us, and especially visit our eldest in Pimlico, London.

Large country home with swimming pool, patio and gardens, conveniently situated in the heart of the famous Bordeaux wine yards: Sauternes 7kms, Saint Emilion 40kms, Bordeaux (and the airport) 45kms. You will enjoy visiting the local market towns and historical sites to visit locally. The beautiful Atlantic beaches are one and a half hour drive away.

Roaillan is a friendly village situated near the town of Langon which has all the necessary amenities, with an excellent choice of quality bars, restaurants and farmers markets.There are literally hundreds of wineries to visit around here, where you can taste and buy wines, and we would be happy to recommend our favourite ones.
The nearest airport is Bordeaux, accessible by train or car. There are some beautiful walks in the nearby forest, and a cycle track which stretches right along to the Atlantic coast. Please note that a car is necessary here...there is no public transport.
