Manfred and Darlene offered us their time share in Kauai in February, in exchange for our house in Vancouver at the end of August. While waiting for confirmation of this actually working out, we gave Manfred the name "MIghty Manfred", and of course he did it! We spent two wonderful weeks at The Cliffs on the island of Kauai, basking in the breezes of the Pacific in February. This was a great exchange. Manfred and Darlene are very experienced at home exchanges and we learned a lot from them. I should add that we know Calgary, and a visit to the home of Manfred and Darlene would be quite wonderful for Homelinkers from anywhere.

From our house short car ride to wave pool for the whole family, the Calgary Zoo, Sparks the Science Centre with lots of interactive possibilities
The Calgary Tower (20 min car ride) with stunning views around
Princess Island Park in the City Centre along the Bow River for a relaxing walk and a stop at the restaurant River Cafe.
Prairie Winds Park with swimming and splashing for the young ones ( take towels).
Kananaskis (1 hour car ride and admission, if we do not have a pass for you ) a great area to sightsee, eat and relax same as Banff National Park, also daily fee, if we do not have an annual pass available )
If you love fruit and vegetables try the Sunridge Fruit Market with great offers from around the world.
Also bike rides along the Bow and Elbow River are a must for naturlovers
